Kayla Dixon is a undergraduate student at Colby College where she is majoring in Computational Biology and minoring in Data Science. At Colby, Kayla works in Suegene Noh’s lab where she is working on identifying pseudogenes in prokaryotes and working in the school’s post office. She also participates in the Colby Cares About Kids Program where she is mentoring a student in the Waterville area.
This year, she is working in the Kumar Lab as a Academic Year Intern through a new Colby-Lunder Fellowship Program at JAX. She is excited to help work on the neural network projects the lab has been working on and learning as much as she can during her time at JAX.
