Fionna joined the Kumar lab as a research assistant in August 2024. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience & Behavior from Mount Holyoke College. Fionna is particularly interested in the neural circuitry underlying behavior and how alteration to those circuits can affect behavioral outcomes. In addition to advancing current understanding of addiction, she is passionate about the meaningful translation of research into impactful therapeutic solutions.
Outside of the lab Fionna is a competitive ultrarunner, cyclist and a member of the MDI Search & Rescue team.
